Once we have helped you find the perfect property for you we will introduce you to an English speaking Spanish Lawyer. The Lawyers we use are all very friendly and highly experienced.
To make the process stress free and manageable, it is very common to give the lawyer ‘power of attorney’. This gives the lawyer the legal right and responsibility to manage your financial and property related affairs on your behalf. This means you will not have to travel back and forth to sign papers and contracts. The next time you will be required to visit Spain we will be handing over the keys to your new home.
Throughout the process of purchasing your property our legal team will oversee:
- NIE numbers
- Checking purchase contracts, managing deposits, and all stage payments
- Completing on the property and managing all completion payments
- Organisation and installation of water and electricity metres
- Setting up of direct debits for water and electricity
All of this is included within our unique Movehappy package. We will also assist you in opening a Spanish bank account and you will be given guidance throughout the process.
While you’re back at home our legal team will manage any required payments to the builder. We will update you on the progress of your property purchase with regular updates every step of the way, so you will never feel out of the loop.
