What Does it Mean to be API Certified?

A new law recently passed in the Community of Valencia on Spain’s east coast which requires all estate agents to become officially registered in order to continue selling and renting properties.

Valencia estate agents must now fulfil several criteria and sit exams to prove that they are suitably qualified and insured in order to join the register.

This allows those looking to purchase a property in the Valencia region to easily identify a reputable company like Movehappy.

Meet the Team

Paul and Fran co-own the company and live together in Torrevieja a short distance from the company office. We have a father and son sales team and a mother and daughters administration and marketing team. Having a close family team means our clients receive a more personal and friendly service.

Paul Cox

Co-Owner

Paul moved to Spain in 2002 and has been working in property ever since. Over 20 years experience means he has excellent knowledge and understanding of the Spanish property market and the local area. He also speaks fluent Spanish.

Fran Simmonds

Co-Owner

Fran is joint owner of Movehappy with Paul. Based at the Torrevieja office she looks after all of the administration and all our property listings with the help of Pedro, the family dog. She also has excellent knowledge of the local area and the market.

Nathan Cox

Sales

Nathan is Paul’s son and went to school and grew up here in Spain. He therefore has a fantastic knowledge of the local area as well as speaking fluent English and Spanish.

Chloe Wicken

Marketing & Media

Chloe is Fran’s daughter and is based in the UK. She looks after our media and marketing.

Hannah Cox

Administration

Hannah is Paul’s daughter and is based in the UK. She assists with various administrative tasks in the running of the Movehappy business. Having grown up in Spain, she speaks fluent Spanish and English.

Katie Simmonds

Operations

Katie is Fran’s daughter and is based in the UK. She looks after our general operations to ensure the business continues to run smoothly.
