About Algorfa
Algorfa is a beautiful Spanish village located in the Costa Blanca South. This stunning village is surrounded by citrus groves and gorgeous Mediterranean pine forests.
It is the perfect place to live because you are blessed with the tranquility of a village but still close enough to all the action which is just a short drive away.
Here we have the amazing Mediterranean climate which means that the winters are short and mild and the summers are full of sunny days and clear nights. The average annual temperature is around 20°C with highs of around 32°C in August.
Algorfa Local Amenities
Algorfa has all the main amenities you will need such as supermarkets, corner shops, bakery, dentist, opticians, mechanics, salon and on Sundays there is a large market.
If there is something that you need but can’t find in Algorfa then the city of Almoradi is just round the corner in which you will find everything you need.
Algorfa also has many bars, cafes and restaurants. The tapas bar is very popular. Tapas are essentially small portions of food which can be eaten as a snack or you can have a few different tapas dishes which can make a very nice dinner alongside a nice cold drink.
Beaches Near Algorfa
Algorfa is only a 15 minute drive from the beaches of Guardamar del Segura and a 20 minute drive will get you to the lively city of Torrevieja and its many beaches. Within these beaches there are 7 blue flagged beaches. For the blue flag to be awarded the beach has to meet certain requirements, such as for cleanliness of the beach and sea. Another requirement is for the beach to be accessible for everyone and also to have a lifeguard post and clean toilets available. This is a very prestigious award and proves the outstanding quality of the beaches in this area.
Airports Near Algorfa
The closest airport to Algorfa is the International Airport of Alicante which is a 35 minute drive. The second closest airport is the International Airport of Murcia, which is around a 50 minute drive from Algorfa. Both of these airports have flights daily with most major airlines such as Ryanair and Easyjet.
Golf Courses Nearby
One of the main reasons why people are attracted to Algorfa is for its proximity to all the golf courses in the area. The closest one is Called La Finca golf course, which is just a 5 minute drive from Algorfa. Then we have La Marquesa Golf, which is about a 15 minute drive. Also nearby are Las Ramblas golf course, Campoamor and Las Colinas Golf and Country Club. These are all around a 30 minute drive but are well worth it. These golf courses are some of the best in Spain. They all have the full 18 holes as well as the practice pitch and putt, driving range and putting greens, ensuring everyone has a great time. If you have never played golf before that is no problem as a few of these have golf schools for all different ages and abilities.
All of this information is about the village of Algorfa but the main attraction of this area is a stunning development called La Finca Golf Resort. This resort is under a 10 minute drive from the picturesque Spanish village of Algorfa.
About La Finca Golf
This is a gated community which offers 24 hour security. It has that much to offer; it is more like a village itself. It has amazing 5* restaurants, bars and shops where you will find all of the essentials.
There are also communal pools, a gym, tennis courts, paddle, a spa and a wellness centre.
This resort is very well located with the blue flag beaches of Guardamar and Torrevieja just 15 minutes away, where you will also be able to find all of the amenities you could possibly need.
The Golf Course
This course is one of the best in Spain. It has 18 holes and is a par 72 course. With long and wide fairways, it is perfect for having some fun with your driver. Every hole is different with stunning scenery and water features. A favourite of many golfers is hole 5 which finishes with its perfect green surrounded 3 sides by water and the other side by a bunker. As well as the full 18 holes this resort also has a driving range, putting greens and a golf academy for adults as well as children. This means that no matter how good you are and no matter your age you will definitely have a great time. Here you will also be able to hire golf buggies, electric and manual karts and you can hire or buy a new set of clubs from the pro shop.
After playing you round of golf you should definitely head to their clubhouse. This is a stunning building which has an amazing bar and 5* restaurant overlooking the stunning golf course. This is the perfect place to cool down and have a much needed cold drink and a bite to eat.
